Completing Your Leadership Purchase Plan

When you make your final payment, the Leadership Purchase Plan gives you three options:

Trade in Your Vehicle and Purchase or Lease a New Acura

Follow these simple steps to trade in your vehicle at the end of your Leadership Purchase Plan term.

Six months before your final payment:

Research the latest models on Acura.com and explore current offers from Acura Financial Services® When you're ready, schedule a test drive with your Acura dealer.

Two to three months before:

Contact the Lease Maturity Center to discuss the process for returning your vehicle. They can also provide you with contact information for local vehicle inspection providers.

Two months before:

Schedule a free vehicle inspection to evaluate wear and use and related charges, if applicable. Have the inspection done well in advance of returning your vehicle so you have time to take care of any needed repairs. You may be responsible for any outstanding payments, excess wear and use charges, excessive miles, and any other end-of-term charges specified in your contract. You will receive a Vehicle Inspection Report following the inspection. Read more about Vehicle Inspection and Wear and Use Guidelines.

One week before:

Make an appointment to return your vehicle to your Acura dealer.

At the appointed time:

Deliver your vehicle in clean condition to your Acura dealer. Please bring the following items with you:

  • All keys to the vehicle
  • Owner's Manual and maintenance records
  • Vehicle Return Receipt & Odometer Disclosure Statement
  • Vehicle Inspection Report
  • Receipts for completed repairs

After you turn in your vehicle:

Contact an Acura Client Services Representative at 1-866-777-6495 to inform Acura Financial Services® that you have returned your vehicle.

If all payments have been made, your call will start the completion process for your Leadership Purchase Plan account, and you will no longer receive regular monthly billing statements.

If you have payments remaining on your account, you are still responsible for ensuring that they are made (even if your dealer has agreed to make final payments).

If any end-of-term liabilities apply, these items will be billed later.

To complete the transfer of ownership, please complete and sign a Power of Attorney form and mail it to the Lease Maturity Center.

Purchase Your Acura for the Lump Sum, End-Of-Term Purchase Price

If you decide to purchase your vehicle, there is no need to have it inspected. Just follow these easy steps.

Step 1

Obtain a Payoff Quote: To find out your purchase amount, you can get a payoff quote 24 hours a day, 7 days a week online by to your account or by calling our Express Payoff System at 1-866-777-6495.

When calling for your payoff information, you may request a written confirmation of your payoff quote by mail, along with instructions and required documentation.

Step 2

Notify us of your intent to purchase: Contact the Lease Maturity Center and let us know you intend to purchase the vehicle.

Step 3
