If your vehicle is stolen or totaled in an accident, your auto insurance will only cover the current market value of the vehicle, determined by your insurance company. What they pay, and what you owe your lender, may not be the same. In fact, after deductibles you could owe a substantial amount.
Acura Care® Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) can cover the gap between the amount you owe your lender and the amount your insurance covers1, up to $50,000. You can purchase Acura Care GAP for a one-time fee, or include it in your financing.
Acura Care GAP coverage can:
Protect your investment in new and pre-owned Acura vehicles, Acura Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles and other pre-owned non-Acura vehicles.2
Waive covered losses up to of $50,000.
Cover your insurance deductible up to $1,000.3

Any amounts or terms exceeding the program maximums.
The following deductions taken by the primary insurer: Prior Damage, Salvage, Missing Items, Excess Towing, Custom Equipment, and Storage.
Total losses resulting from the Purchaser’s dishonest, fraudulent, or illegal acts (such as DUIs), or those committed by the Purchaser’s family member or other person acting under the Purchaser’s authority.
Vehicles used for competitive driving, racing, or a prohibited commercial purpose.
How to Purchase Acura Care GAP:
When financing a new and pre-owned Acura vehicle, Acura Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle or other pre-owned non-Acura vehicle2 through Acura Financial Services, Acura Care GAP can be included in your monthly car payment or paid as a one-time sum. Ask your Acura dealer how Acura Care GAP can help protect your investment.
Acura Care GAP is available on retail financed vehicles. If you lease your Acura, please see your lease agreement for the specific GAP coverage provided on Acura Luxury Leases.
Limitations and Exclusions
1 Actual waiver benefit may not result in the entire amount waived. Please refer to Acura Care GAP Waiver Addendum for complete details.
2 Available on loan amounts up to 150% of your vehicle’s MSRP (new)/NADA retail (used), up to $110,000. Please refer to your GAP Waiver Addendum for details. Programs vary by store/lender/ state. Maximum eligibility limits and certain exclusions apply. Note that you remain responsible for past-due payments, late fees, and other charges on your loan.

When you check this box, your username (Acura ID) or email address is stored in a cookie on your computer, and is filled in automatically each time you return to our website. You must still enter your password to log in.

How often are updates posted to the online transaction history?
Our system is updated at the end of each business day and will appear on your history
the following business day.
Why isn't the information updated instantly in your system?
The technology we use to transmit a day's worth of account updates as a single "batch"
is more reliable and more secure than transmitting each update individually.
Why doesn't my online transaction history show my last payment?
It often takes several days to receive and process a payment. Once the payment is
reflected in our system, it will appear in your transaction history on the next business day.
This will not be the case if you are viewing your online current statement.
